Description

I rotated the canvas to develop the stalactite effect that presents the burning darkness of hell underneath heaven.

So as there are some brightness emerging from hell, there is also some darkness falling from heaven. And heaven (representing organised religion), with all it’s corruption and dictatorship, is fighting harder towards the more mellow, apathetic hell.

Painted to the Spanish tunes playing during a live performance by artist Jonas Gerard.

100cm x 75cm, acrylic on canvas.
